Classic Cherry Almond Pound Cake

Ingredients: Featuring Dell’s Maraschino Cherries (No Stems)

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup Dell’s Maraschino Cherries (no stems), chopped and patted dry

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp almond extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time. Mix in extracts.
  4. Combine dry ingredients separately.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and sour cream to batter.
  6. Fold in chopped cherries.
  7. Bake 60–70 minutes. Cool completely before glazing.
